![]() ![]() Oblivion's got it even worse if you buy the "mere" GotY edition of that, then you don't get the additional DLCs offered by the GotY Deluxe edition. ![]() Except in the case of Skyrim: though they later removed all bundled deals for that game entirely, and then hid it + its DLCs from the store search (in order to push sales of the 64bit "Special Edition" instead - their answer to pushing "paid mods" into the game). ![]() Bethesda has never gone back and modified their old game offers to work with the improved systems. Part of the issue is that, over time, Valve has added new ways to offer bundled deals through Steam. Sure, there's room for confusion via forgetfulness, but I'm just telling you how the system works: you can make up your own mind as to whether it's fair or not. The store page for GotY informs you quite clearly as to what you've paid for. That the GOTY version is integrated with the DLC into a single, inseparable storyline. There is one more possibility that you are trying to convince me of. ![]() I don't understand what the problem is at all. Purchasing the GOTY version immediately assigns add-ons to the library and I don't have to wonder if I already have them! This also applies to games such as Tomb Raider, where the amount of DLC is huge and it would be easy to get lost. Somehow most games have no problem with that. But when you buy a lot, you can forget yourself. This is only visible on the GOTY website. There is nowhere on the DLC page saying that it is part of the GOTY edition. But on the Bethesda Steam site, the DLCs appear as not purchased. So it's hard to synchronize? I understand that the GOTY version has a different side. So you think it's okay that I can buy the same thing by mistake twice because I haven't been informed that I already have the DLC? ![]()
